Whiskey is a good thing. Or whisky. I don’t care whether it’s Scotch or Irish whisky or bourbon or sour mash or what not, it’s proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.

That’s Beer! Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.
Whiskey is a gift from the Irish. It says “You aren’t drunk enough on Beer! Drink this.”

Speaking of beer, my favorite beer is about to be available again.
As soon as I find it it will be in my belly.

I haz a sad. I’m out of whiskey (Irish). I was going to order a bottle the other day but thought otherwise. So I’m now (post night shift) chilling with a very well chilled bottle of pinot grigio while my lasagne and red pepper flatbread are cooking.

Not drunk because fuck hangovers, but a couple of solid beers will do. Had a great Imperial Red ale from Kern River Brewing, a Green Flash Soul Style IPA, and a Ninkasi Tricerahops. The kids are sound asleep, I’m watching Back To The Future II, I still want that ‘85 Toyota truck, and I’m good.

I usually stick with cheap stuff but I’ll try any Beer once.
They had a Stella/Shocktop special recently. Buy 2 six packs at $8 each get one free. I was living high for a day or so.

So much Maker’s Mark tonight. My dad and I grilled a couple racks of ribs and did a number on that handle of whiskey.

On an unrelated note, I met with my dad for the first time in like 9 years and hung out with him for a while. It was a good time.

I have only had a hangover once in my life. My secret is water; if you drink enough water you can avoid it.

Irish whisky to me tastes like bug spray. And yet, I like it.

I found Hoss on a whim. I was bored and wanted to try something new. It is nothing short of fantastic. If you find some, snag it.

I have a liquor store thats good for odd stuff. They’ll even special order some things.
Goose Island has a beer called Green Line that just started getting popular. It’s gooooood. But it took almost 5 years for it to leave the Chicago area.

Working at 8 tomorrow, so not wasted, but still sipping at a hip flask of rye I found in a backpack I haven’t used since my last snowshoe, so maybe four months. Not 100% certain what it is, but my best guess would be Crown’s Northern Harvest. I was debating cracking a bottle of Coyote Ugly but then my roommates all went to bed.

You can’t be drinking the right ones.
Scotch whisky tastes like what nail varnish remover smells like. Par one, a 25 year old Campbeltown Springbank. it was beautiful.
Try a 12 year old (or older) Bushmills or cheaper Teeling Single Grain whiskey. I highly recommend the Teeling Single Grain over the Single Malt.

It’s one of those things where there was never any problem between us, he’s just naturally a hermit. I reached out to him on father’s day and was surprised that I got a response. I’m going to try to see him more often now. He’s not getting any younger and I’ve been worried about him, but it’s good to know he’s doing well.
